Major development: U.S. betrays Israel!

In the last few days there has been a very important development regarding Israel’s right to build settlements. The following articles will help explain the details, then scroll down for links to what I have posted concerning the consequences of attempts to divide the land that God gave as an eternal possession to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob — a.k.a. ISRAEL. (NOTE: My highlights in red.)

Obama’s Betrayal of Israel s a Black Day for American Diplomacy

It is Islamist-leftist dogma that Israel’s millennia of attachment to its homeland count for nothing.

by Andrew C. McCarthy December 24, 2016 4:00 AM @AndrewCMcCarthy

Adding a final shameful chapter to a foreign-policy record that already runneth over with them, Barack Obama on Friday abandoned America’s commitment to Israel’s security, and to the vindication of democracy over sharia-supremacist aggression. In an act of cowardly venom, the president had the United States abstain from — and thereby effectively enact — a United Nations Security Council resolution that condemns Israeli settlement activity. At least, that’s what the resolution ostensibly does. The reality is much more than that. The resolution undertakes to render our ally indefensible.

It was a black day in modern American diplomatic history, a flurry of sinister wheeling and dealing while the nation — exhausted by the election, anticipating a weekend of Christmas and Hanukkah celebration — was looking the other way. To his great credit, Donald Trump was not. The president-elect asserted himself on Israel’s behalf, backing up his campaign promise that “America First” meant restoration of America’s reputation as a dependable friend and an enemy not to be trifled with. Under the pressure he generated, Egypt backed down, withdrawing its sponsorship of the resolution.

But such is the disdain in which Israel is openly held after eight Obama years of empowering Islamists that four other countries — Malaysia, Venezuela, Senegal, and, of all places, New Zealand — revived the resolution, knowing they had the State Department’s backing. With the U.S. abstention, it was easily approved.

It is a disgraceful legacy of Barack Obama that his obsession over settlements and antipathy toward Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu — traits he shares with his old radical comrade, Rashid Khalidi — have made the already dim prospects for peace far more remote. At the root of the settlements controversy is the fiction that the territory at issue is “occupied Palestinian” land. In point of stubborn fact, no matter how tirelessly the vaunted “international community” evokes the scurrilous image of occupation, the territory is righteously disputed….

Jimmy Carter Urges Barack Obama to Divide the Land of Israel at the United Nations Before Jan. 20

In an absolutely stunning editorial for the New York Times, former President Jimmy Carter has publicly called for Barack Obama to divide the land of Israel at the United Nations before Inauguration Day.

While he was president, Carter negotiated peace between Israel and Egypt, and ever since that time, he has been a very strong advocate for a Palestinian state. Carter is completely convinced that a “two-state solution” will bring lasting peace to the Middle East, but now that Donald Trump has been elected, Carter knows that his dream of seeing a Palestinian state while he is still alive is rapidly slipping away. In a desperate attempt to salvage the situation, Carter is urging Barack Obama to take bold action while he still has the power to do so.

In his New York Times editorial, one of the steps Carter says Obama should take is to give formal U.S. diplomatic recognition to a Palestinian state….

Over the past few years, I have posted repeatedly about the biblical consequences of dividing God’s land. The prophet Joel spoke the words of the Lord …

1“In those days and at that time,
when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
I will gather all nations
and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.
There I will put them on trial
for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel,
because they scattered my people among the nations
and divided up my land.” (Joel 3:1-2)

U.N. denies Temple Mount / Israel connection!

“I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.” — The Lord God  (Joel 3:2)

U.N. body votes Temple Mount no longer Jewish

‘What’s next? A decision denying the connection between peanut butter and jelly?’

Israeli soldiers patrol the Temple Mount in Jerusalem

UNESCO, the United Nations committee responsible for “cultural understanding,” has given preliminary approval to a resolution that denies the documented historic Jewish connection to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall.

The vote was 24-6 with another 26 nations abstaining. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu immediately condemned the resolution as “the theater of the absurd.”

The proposed resolution, submitted by seven Muslim nations under the title “Item 25: Occupied Palestine” refers to parts of the site by the Muslim terms, “Al-Aqsa Mosque” and “Haram al-Sharif” and emphasizes the historic and religious significance of the site to Islam, but simply ignores evidence of Jewish history at the same site.

The document refers to Israel throughout as “the occupying Power” and accuses it of “aggressions and illegal measures” at the holy site.

UNESCO “firmly deplores the continuous storming of Al-Aqṣa Mosque/Al-Ḥaram Al-Sharif by Israeli right-wing extremists and uniformed forces, and urges Israel, the occupying Power, to take necessary measures to prevent provocative abuses that violate the sanctity and integrity of Al-Aqṣa Mosque/Al-Ḥaram Al-Sharif.”

The resolution also condemns Israel’s construction work in the Western Wall area by referring to it by its Muslim name “Al-Buraq Plaza,” a reference to the mythical unicorn that transported the prophet Muhammad from Mecca to Jerusalem.

In reality, Muhammad never set foot in Jerusalem or the Temple Mount.

Jonathan Schanzer, vice president of research at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told that “The move is ironic in the sense that the Israelis have probably done more than any other sovereign that has controlled Jerusalem to ensure that all faiths can have access to the city and practice their faith.”

Read UNESCO resolution in full

The resolution condemns Israeli’s interference with the Waqf, the Jordanian body that administers the Muslim sites. The resolution makes no mention that the Muslim sites in question were built on top of the remains of the Jewish “Great Temple” several hundred years after its destruction by the Romans in the year 70 AD.

The seven sponsors of the resolution are Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morrocco, Oman, Qatar and Sudan. They introduced it on behalf of the Palestinians.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement on Facebook Thursday which he titled “The theatre of the absurd continues at the UN.” The statement reads as follows:

“Today UNESCO adopted its second decision this year denying the Jewish people’s connection to the Temple Mount, our holiest site for over three thousand years.

“What’s next? A UNESCO decision denying the connection between peanut butter and jelly? Batman and Robin? Rock and roll?

“Is it any wonder the UN has become a moral farce when UNESCO, the UN body tasked with preserving history, denies and distorts history?

“Israel will continue to fight the lies, hatred and double standards at the UN.”

I am exhausted, so I won’t write as much as usual regarding the prophecy connections that can be applied to this newest absurdity from the United Nations. But I will give links to information that you may want to read through that details some amazing natural disasters that have occurred under U.S. Presidential administrations who bought into the dividing of the Promised Land that God deeded to the descendants of Jacob (a.k.a. Israel).

“Divide Israel” … AGAIN!

Obama Administration: UN Resolution To Divide Israel Is Back In Play

News Image

MARCH 09, 2016

According to the Wall Street Journal, the White House is considering drastic measures to reboot the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.  Among those measures is a UN Security Council resolution that would set the parameters for a two state solution and that would recognize East Jerusalem as the official capital of a Palestinian state.

If Barack Obama makes this move, it will almost certainly be before the election in November.  I had previously reported that France was ready to introduce a similar UN Security Council resolution back in September, but at that time the French backed off because they did not have full support from the Obama administration. But now that Obama is approaching the end of his term, he suddenly seems more willing to make a bold move.

Remember, this is not just some Internet rumor.  This comes directly from an article that was just published in the Wall Street Journal that claims to have top White House officials as the source of this information.  According to those anonymous officials, the Obama administration is now ready to potentially move forward with the kind of UN Security Council resolution that I mentioned above…

The strongest element on the list of options under consideration would be U.S. support for a Security Council resolution calling on both sides to compromise on key issues, something Israel had opposed and Washington has repeatedly vetoed in the past.

The article goes on to say that the parameters of an agreement for a two state solution would be based on the 1949 armistice line but would allow for land swaps so that many Jewish settlements that have been built since 1967 would not be swallowed up by the new Palestinian state.

The Palestinians would be required to recognize Israel as a Jewish state, and East Jerusalem would receive full UN Security Council recognition as the capital of a new Palestinian state.  This is something that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has promised that he would never agree to.

But Barack Obama appears to be completely fed up with Netanyahu at this point, and that is why the White House is now strongly considering moving forward with a UN Security Council resolution.  Needless to say, this would represent a dramatic change in policy from previous administrations.  Here is more from the Wall Street Journal…

Mounting a push for a Security Council resolution would be a significant shift in U.S. policy and one the Israeli government has feared could marshal international sentiment in a way that could make it harder to resist making concessions. Such a move could further strain already tense relations between Messrs. Obama and Netanyahu, who have clashed over U.S. diplomacy with Iran and the administrations past attempts to forge a Middle East peace agreement.

Last year, the White House threatened to allow action at the U.N. to proceed without objection from the U.S. after Mr. Netanyahu said during his re-election campaign that he wouldnt support a two-state solution. The Israeli leader subsequently walked back his statement, and the White House didn’t follow through with its threat.

Right now, 136 nations already formally recognize a Palestinian state.  But a Palestinian state has never had full UN Security Council recognition because the United States has always blocked efforts in that direction.

Many people don’t realize this, but if Obama throws his support behind such a resolution, it would be considered binding upon both the Israelis and the Palestinians.  The following comes from Israel National News…

A Security Council resolution would be binding upon all parties, unlike General Assembly measures which are non-obligatory recommendations. Such a resolution would remain in force even after the president leaves office next January, effectively shaping the future of American policy in the region for Mr. Obamas successors.

The resolution would require Israel cease construction over the Green Line and would force Israel to recognize eastern Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine.

Needless to say, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would be absolutely furious if the Obama administration pushes forward with a UN Security Council resolution that would attempt to dictate a solution to the Israelis and the Palestinians.

Perhaps this explains why Netanyahu just cancelled a meeting with Barack Obama at the White House later this month…

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declined an offer to meet President Barack Obama at the White House later this month and canceled his trip to Washington, the White House said on Monday, citing Israeli news reports.

Netanyahu’s decision to nix his U.S. visit marked the latest episode in a fraught relationship with Obama that has yet to recover from their deep differences over last years U.S.-led international nuclear deal with Iran, Israels arch-foe.

Of course there are lots of reasons why Netanyahu would potentially be upset with Obama.  In addition to the ridiculously bad Iran deal, we should also remember that Obama tried to help defeat Netanyahu during the last Israeli election, and the Wall Street Journal has reported that the Obama administration has been actively spying on Netanyahu and other Israeli leaders.

Barack Obama has stabbed Israel in the back over and over again, and so it would be absolutely no surprise if he decided to push for a UN Security Council resolution that would permanently divide the land of Israel and the city of Jerusalem.

Unfortunately, such a move would have very serious implications for all of us.  By dividing the land of Israel and the city of Jerusalem, Obama would be cursing our nation, and that is not something that any of us should want.

If Obama is going to do this, it will almost certainly happen before the election in November.

That means that we are looking at roughly an eight month time period.

Personally, because of how the UN schedule works, I would say that the most likely time for such a resolution to be introduced would be in September or October.  But it is definitely possible that it could come sooner than that.

For a long time, Barack Obama has expressed a desire to see the establishment of a Palestinian state before he leaves office.  Netanyahu has always been his nemesis in this regard, but now Obama seems determined to try to make something happen at the United Nations while he still has the power to do so.

Let us pray that he is not successful.

The Consequences of Dividing Israel …

This morning I saw in the news that U.S. Secretary of State is finalizing his team for yet a new MidEast peace intervention.

France 24 International News reported, “In Amman on Friday — at the end of his sixth trip to the region — Kerry announced that Israeli and Palestinian leaders have agreed in principle to return to talks that have been frozen for three years.”

And so, America must once again brace for whatever God is going to do in response to yet another effort to divide His land.

In his book Eye To Eye: Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel (Copyright 2008, About Him Publishing), author William Koenig has documented an amazing number of facts that seem to confirm the “truth & consequences” nature of the Lord God’s relationship with Israel and the United States. Koenig details historical basis for Israel’s right to the land that is in contention, and strange parallels regarding land division agreements and disruptive patterns in nature.

For example, did you know that …

  • In June 2001, during CIA Director Tenet’s negotiations, on behalf of President George W. Bush, with PM Sharon of Israel and PLO Chief Yasser Arafat, Tropical Storm Allison hit the southeast U.S. It was the costliest tropical storm in U.S. history up to that time.
  • From August 25 to September 10, 2001, President Bush prepared the most comprehensive plan ever offered by a U.S. president for dividing Israel’s land. The plan was almost complete when, on September 11, 2001, Terrorists attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Nearly 3000 people died.
  • On November 11, 2001, Secretary of State Colin Powell reaffirmed President Bush’s two-state solution for Israel and the Palestinians; Arafat asked the UN General Assembly for peace-keepers, evacuation of all Jewish settlers, and a Palestinian state with “Holy Jerusalem as its capital.” On November 12th, American Airlines jet, flight #587, crashed moments after take-off from Kennedy Airport in NYC — 255 people died.
  • September 30, 2002: President Bush ignored the U.S. Congress and refused to move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. On October 1, Hurricane Lili became the first hurricane ever to make landfall in the U.S. in the 21st century.
  • September 16-18, 2003: U.S. threatened sanctions against Israel and refused to support the forced exile of Yasser Arafat; Jordan’s King Abdullah II arrived at Camp David for talks with Bush on the “Road Map.” From September 6-19, Hurricane Isabel (Cat. 5) hit N. Carolina, Virginia and Maryland. It came ashore as the President and the King were meeting at Camp David.
  • October 28, 2003: Pred. Bush criticized Israel’s security fence and settlements, and he hosted the 3rd annual Ramadan dinner at the White House. From October 24 to November 5, 2003, unprecedented solar flares from the sun were recorded and the most expensive fire in California history (to that point in time) burned 740,000 acres and 3,600 homes. 22 dead.
  • From August 1 to September 21, 2004, the Bush administration continued to pressure Israel to evacuate and dismantle settlements and remove security roadblocks. (And LGBT issues began coming to the forefront in American culture.) During that time, 4 major hurricanes — Charley, Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne — hit the southern and eastern United States. In just one season these hurricanes caused more destruction than any in the previous 100 years!
  • On September 22 a major suicide bombing occurred in Jerusalem.

All that happened  in just four years at the beginning of the 21st century!

I’ll be digging deeper into this as I have time. In the meantime, be assured that GOD IS IN CONTROL and offers eternal protection to those who will accept his gift of grace and salvation. Jesus died a horrible death to make that possible. And then he rose again to prove to all mankind that he cares deeply about the future of every man woman and child on the face of planet Earth!

“Grace and peace to you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 1:7)

FEBRUARY 18-25, 1993: Bill Clinton’s Secretary of State visited Israel and reiterated the U.S. commitment to the role of full partner in reinvigorating the peace process.

FEBRUARY 26, 1993: A CAR BOMB EXPLODED UNDERNEATH THE WORLD TRADE CENTER IN NEW YORK CITY, killing six people and injuring more than 1,000. Mario Cuomo, NYC Mayor stated, “No foreign people or force has ever done this to us. Until now we were invulnerable.”

MARCH 10, 1993: Announcement made by Secretary of State Warren Christopher made the statement, “Events in the Middle East have historically captured the attention of the world…. A passive American role is not enough. What is called for is an active, positive effort that will take advantage of what many believe to be a historic moment in that region.”

MARCH 12-15, 1993: THE STORM OF THE CENTURY battered the eastern U.S. with tornadoes, high winds, record low pressure and heavy snows. It affected 26 states, covering one-third of the U.S. and incurring $3-6 billion in damages, 270 deaths on land, and 48 more were missing at sea. Fifteen tornadoes hit Florida, with six inches of snow on the Panhandle. In Mount LeConte, Tennessee, 56 inches of snow fell. Snow fell at 2-3 inches per hour and 25 percent of flights were cancelled for two days.

MAY – SEPTEMBER 1993: Secret negotiations resulted in The Declaration of Principles on Interim Self-Government Arrangements, signed (The Oslo Agreement) on the White House lawn by Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat (September 13, 1993). President Clinton pledged continued direct engagement of the United States in the peace process.

MAY – SEPTEMBER 1993: THE GREAT MIDWEST FLOOD produced major and record breaking flooding across North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Illinois. Hundreds of levees failed along the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. As the heartland of Israel was being negotiated, the heartland of America was being devastated with record rains and floods — cost: $21 billion!

JANUARY 16, 1994: President Hafez- al-Assad of the Syrian Arab Republic and President Bill Clinton held a joint news conference. Clinton said: “We pledge today to work together in order to bring the negotiations that started in Madrid over two years ago to a prompt and successful conclusion. Critical issues remain to be solved, especially … the question of relating withdrawal to peace and security. But as a result of our conversation today, I am confident that we laid the foundations for real progress in the negotiations between heads of delegations that will begin next week in Washington.

JANUARY 17, 1994:  NORTHRIDGE EARTHQUAKE, 6.9 rocked southern California, centered 25 miles from Los Angeles — the second most destructive natural disaster (at that point in history) ever to hit the United States, second only to Hurricane Andrew!

OCTOBER 17, 1994: Israeli Prime Minister Yitzak Rabin and Jordanian Prime Minister Dr. Abdel Salaam Al-Majali initialed the text of a peace treaty, which was signed on October 26 in Israel. President Bill Clinton underscored the U.S. commitment to the peace process.

OCTOBER 17-21, 1994: SOUTHEAST TEXAS FLOODING: The worst flooding on record for southeast Texas. Major highways flooded; fuel pipelines ruptured; massive fuel spills and wildfires. $900 million in damages. 17 lives lost.

SEPTEMBER 28-29, 1995: Israeli-Palestinian Interim Agreement concerning the West Bank and Gaza Strip was signed in Washington D.C. President Clinton hosted a summit following the signing. First meeting of the U.S.-Israel Palestinian Trilateral Committee was convened. 18-month Integrated Development Study of the Jordan Rift Valley began in October.

SEPTEMBER 27 – OCTOBER 5, 1995: HURRICANE OPAL drifted the Yucatan Peninsula and the southwestern Gulf of Mexico from September 27 until October 2, then turned northeast toward the Florida peninsula and attained Catagory 4 status on October 4th. 12 hours before landfall, Hurricane Opal neared Cat. 5 status. It ranked among the top 18 hurricanes to have struck the Pensacola area since 1900, and was the most devastating — $3 billion and 27 deaths.

That was during Bill Clinton’s first term. Let’s see what happened during his second …

Consequences of Dividing Israel (1997 – 2000)

Catastrophes and Events 1997 – 2000 …

God has said in His Word,

“In those days and at that time,
when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,

and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.
There I will put them on trial

(Joel 3:1-2, NIV)

Excerpts from Eye To Eye: Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israelby William Koenig …

U.S. Catastrophes and Events in 1997 – 2000 under the Administration of William J. Clinton concerning Israel:

MARCH 2, 1997: Chairman Yasser Arafat, Chairman of the Palestinian Liberation Organization arrived in Washington D.C. for a requested meeting with President Bill Clinton to complain about settlements that Israel had begun to build in East Jerusalem. Clinton remarked to the press that he would have preferred if Israel had not decided to build the housing project.

MARCH 1-2, 1997: DEADLIEST OUTBREAK OF TORNADOES SINCE 1994, several of which were categorized as F-4 intensity. Unusually heavy rainfall and flooding from northeast Arkansas through western Tennessee and into Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and West Virginia. In parts of northern Kentucky rain fell at a rate of one inch per hour for a twelve-hour period. $1.1 billion in damages; 67 deaths.

“When Chairman Arafat used America as a platform to promote the dividing of Israel, and President Clinton warmly received him, the president’s own home state [Arkansas] was ravaged by storms and floods soon thereafter…. The New York Times front-page headlines reported, ‘In storm’s wake, grief and shock’ adjacent to a photo of President Clinton and Arafat with the caption reading, ‘President Clinton rebukes Israel.’” — William Koenig

APRIL 7, 1997: President Clinton met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to present “some serious things to think about” concerning the stalled peace process. Clinton vowed that he would continue to be heavily involved.

APRIL – MAY 1997: RECORD WINTER SNOWFALL FOLLOWED BY RECORD FLOODING CAUSED BY A HIGHLY ABNORMAL THAW in the Northern Plains. APRIL 5 BLIZZARD hit the upper Midwest. In the Red River Valley of eastern North Dakota and west-central Minnesota flooding persisted from early April through early May. On April 17 the Red River crested 22.5 feet above flood stage, breaking a 100-year-old record. 80,000 evacuated; 5 deaths; $4.1 billion in damages.

APRIL 27, 1997 (the international community gets involved): The United Nations General Assembly condemned Israel and called for the “cessation of all forms of assistance and support for illegal Israeli activities” in the “occupied Palestinian territory.” The Assembly demanded that member nations actively discourage settlements in the “occupied territories” and constitute a major obstacle to peace. The vote was 131 for, 3 against (U.S., Micronesia, and Israel), with 14 abstentions.

JULY 1997 – NOVEMBER 1998: LOSS OF HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS WORLDWIDE due to “Financial Contagion” — domino effect of banks and lenders that transmits a crisis from one country to another. FIRST: The Asian economic collapse erupted in Thailand in July 1997 and continued through 1998. SECOND: By July 1998, Russian asset markets plummeted and interest rates in ALL economies rose. Russia found itself unable to service the debt and asked for an IMF bailout, which eventually failed. THIRD:  On November 13, 1998, the IMF approved a $41.5 billion rescue package to Brazil.

“As the nations of the world called on Israel to make painful concessions to a terrorist state … these nations began experiencing an enormous, worldwide financial crisis …”  — William Koenig

JANUARY 7, 1998: U.S. Special Middle East Coordinator Dennis Ross told the press that he was in Jerusalem to help “prepare the ground” for upcoming meetings in Washington D.C.

JANUARY 4-9, 1998: NORTHEAST ICE STORM, one of the most long-lived and damaging ice storms to hit the northeaster U.S. during the 20th century. And the worst natural disaster in Canada’s history!

JANUARY 20, 22, 1998: Meeting between Clinton and Netanyahu at the White House to try and break one-year impasse in the Middle East peace talks. Meeting between Clinton and Arafat to discuss the concept of land for peace.

JANUARY 21: Monica Lewinski sex scandal broke. Clinton denied the allegations.

JANUARY 22: Clinton reiterated his denial of a relationship. Special Prosecutor Ken Starr issued subpoenas for the expansion of his Whitewater investigation and for  White House records.

JANUARY 23-26: Clinton continued to deny sexual relations with Lewinski. Lewinsky promised to “tell all” to the Grand Jury in exchange for full immunity. From this point on, Bill Clinton was in a fight for his political survival.

JANUARY – FEBRUARY 1998: Secretary of State Madeleine Albright visited Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza “to seek to resolve” the Middle East crisis and put the peace process back on track. Bill Clinton up to his neck in controversy.

JANUARY – FEBRUARY 1998: THE WARMEST AND WETTEST MONTHS IN 104 YEARS in the U.S. — $550 million; in damages, 17 storm related deaths, 5 counties declared federal disaster areas in California; series of tornadoes in central Florida (one was an F-4), 42 fatalities,, $500 million damages, 54 counties declared disaster areas. Up to 20 inches of rain in Texas Hill Country. (West, middle, and eastern U.S. were hit.)

MAY 1 – JUNE 5, 1998: As U.S. delegates and the international community pressured Netenyahu to agree to “land for peace” and the creation of an eventual Palestinian state, the Clinton administration came under fire in what came to be called “Clinton’s Chinese Scandal.”

SEPTEMBER 24-28, 1998: Benjamin Netanyahu and Yasser Arafat came to New York City to address the United Nations and to discuss a plan in which Israel was to give away an additional 13% of its land. As both men were preparing to address the United Nations, a “killer storm” headed toward the Gulf of Mexico.

SEPTEMBER 28, 1998: Yasser Arafat made an emotional plea to the United Nations for approval of an independent Palestinian state by May 1999, and was given a standing ovation by the General Assembly…. At the same moment, HURRICANE GEORGES smashed into the Gulf Coast, causing $1 billion in damages. The storm began to dissipate when Arafat left America.

OCTOBER 15-22, 1998: Arafat and Netanyahu met at the Wye Plantation in Maryland to continue negotiations. The talks were scheduled to last for five days. When negotiations stalled, President Clinton pressured the two to continue talking until a settlement was reached. In the end, Israel agreed to give away the 13% of land in exchange for assurances from Arafat of peace.

OCTOBER 17, 1998: TWENTY INCHES OF RAIN FELL IN ONE DAY over the San Antonio area of Texas causing flash floods that destroyed thousands of homes. The Guadalupe River (normally 150 feet wide) swelled to three to five miles wide! The rains fell at almost the entire time Arafat and Netanyahu were negotiating “land for peace.” Clinton was forced to declare a section of America a disaster area at the exact time he was orchestrating an agreement to carve up God’s covenant land!

NOVEMBER 30, 1998: President Clinton made an announcement at the second Conference to Support Middle East Peace and Development, held at the State Department with 50 countries and international organizations present. Clinton declared that he would be seeking an additional $400 million in U.S. aid to assist the Palestinian people and $100 million a year for 1999 through 2003. And Arafat announced that he was going to declare Jerusalem the capital of a Palestinian state.

DECEMBER 11, 1998: IMPEACHMENT ARTICLES I, II, AND III APPROVED BY THE HOUSE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE accusing President Bill Clinton of two counts perjury and obstruction of justice.

DECEMBER 12-15, 1998: CLINTON RETURNED TO ISRAEL AND DECLARED THE PEACE PROCESS “BACK ON TRACK.” Prime Minister Netanyahu was also struggling for his political life.

DECEMBER 17, 1998: The House delayed debate on the articles of impeachment while the U.S. launched military strikes against Saddam Hussein in Iraq.

DECEMBER 19, 1998: THE U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES VOTED IN FAVOR OF IMPEACHMENT for President Clinton, and the case went to the Senate for trial.

DECEMBER 21, 1998: THE ISRAELI KNESSET VOTED TO HOLD EARLY ELECTIONS after Prime Minister Netanyahu failed to win their support for his peacemaking policy with the Palestinians.

MARCH 23, 1999: President Clinton and Yasser Arafat met in Washington D.C. to discuss carving up Israel to create a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

MAY 4,1999: Arafat intended to declare a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. (It was postponed until December 1999.) Clinton refused to move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and stated that Jerusalem was negotiable.

MAY 3-4, 1999: MOST POWERFUL TORNADOES EVER TO HIT THE U.S. (up to that point in history) raged through Oklahoma and Kansas. The highest wind speed in U.S. history was recorded (316 mph), and several of the tornadoes were declared F-4 and F-5 (over 260 mph)! . $1.6 billion in damage.

MAY 6, 1999: First Lady Hillary Clinton declared her suppoert for a Palestinian state and the “broader goal of peace in the Middle East.

AUGUST 24 – SEPTEMBER 7, 1999: ERRATIC HURRICANE DENNIS (Catagory 2) began to affect the U.S. east coast. It moved very slowly up the seaboard, drenched Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and lingered off the coast of North Carolina for nearly a week. Dennis traveled a bizarre path. At one point it reversed itself; another time it headed away from the coast, then came ashore ON SEPTEMBER 4TH. It weakened as it continued moving inland over central North Carolina. Consequences of Dividing Israel (2001-2004)

Catastrophes and Events 2001 – 2004 …

God has said in His Word,

“In those days and at that time,
when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
I will gather all nations
and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.
There I will put them on trial
for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel,
because they scattered my people among the nations
    and divided up my land.”

(Joel 3:1-2, NIV)
