FOCUS: “How is an ancient pattern and template of judgment and warning actually manifested on American soil?” — Rabbi Jonathan Cahn
The Harbingers (manifested in America beginning with the 9/11 terrorist attacks on American soil)
We looked at most of the harbingers in Part 3a: https://prophecyconnections.wordpress.com/2016/09/29/harbinger-rewind-part-3a-warnings-from-god-americas-defiant-response/
Only two more to go, which were written about in Jonathan Cahn’s books:
THE HARBINGER COMPANION: https://www.amazon.com/Harbinger-Companion-Study-Guide-Future%C2%97/dp/1621362450/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1474992295&sr=1-1&keywords=the+harbinger+companion+jonathan+cahn
Keeping in mind that the harbingers were revealed to Rabbi Jonathan Cahn many years AFTER 9/11, let’s look now at the final two …
“We’ve seen how one scripture, Isaiah 9:10, explicitly contains the harbingers that tell ancient Israel’s story, revealing patterns of defiance to God’s will that are repeated in modern America.” Isaiah 8-10 include two more verses that confirm the nation being spoken about is the northern kingdom of Israel, who’s capital city was Samaria:
“The Lord has sent a message against Jacob;
it will fall on Israel.
All the people will know it—
Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria—
who say with pride
and arrogance of heart,
10 “The bricks have fallen down,
but we will rebuild with dressed stone;
the fig trees have been felled,
but we will replace them with cedars.”
Jonathan Cahn points out:
“Simply stated, following a calamity caused by God lifting His hedge of protection on a backslidden nation, a nation’s leaders respond with public defiance. They boast of their countries resolve and power…. They speak of a nation defiant and determined to emerge stronger than ever. The words become a vow. The vow gives voice to a national spirit and seals the nation’s course. It all takes place in its capital city.
“Has this harbinger, the Utterance, like the previous harbingers, been manifested in America? Yes.”
I’m going to paraphrase from her to shorten the post:
On September 11, 2004, during a presidential election campaign, America remembered the third anniversary of 9/11. John Edwards, the Republican vice president candidate and a senator, spoke at a gathering of a congressional caucus in Washington D.C. He began by saying, “Good morning. Today, on this day of remembrance and mourning, we have the Lord’s Word to get us through.” Then he proceeded to read Isaiah 9:10, uttering Israel’s ancient vow on behalf of America. Unwittingly, he was highlighting his nation’s defiance in response to calamity! In other words, “the utterance” by a major American candidate for high office joined Israel’s defiant response — in the face of God’s judgment following Assyria’s attack — joined America’s post-9/11 defiance with that of ancient Israel!
John Edward’s entire speech was built around Isaiah 9:10. (He had no idea that he was being used by God to fulfill prophecy!) He had intended to deliver a speech that would inspire a hurting nation. Rather, he was pronouncing judgment on America.
And finally, the last harbinger:
“The last Harbinger is especially prophetic in foretelling what is yet to happen….
“In the wake of a calamity, the nation responds through a vow. The vow sets it on a rebellious course ending in judgment. The words of the vow become part of a prophetic revelation given to the whole nation, an indictment of it, a foretelling of its future, a warning of its judgment.”
Earlier, on the day following the terrorist attacks on America, Senator Tom Daschle had uttered Isaiah 9:10 in his speech on behalf of the nation. He had ended his speech with these defiant words of connection to the ancient prophecy: “That is what we will do.” In essence, he said — unwittingly — that America would follow in the footsteps of ancient Israel!
I’m going to close Part 3 with another Jonathan Cahn quote that I hope will speak to a question that, by now, you should be asking …
“How can a man who is not a prophet speak prophetically? The Bible gives the answer. Men who are not prophets and who may not even know God or, in some cases, be against Him may speak prophetically and say things on two levels without even realizing what they’re saying. So the Gospels record that this very thing happened in the case of Caiaphas when he plotted to murder Yeshua, Jesus. Yet the very words of the plot had another meaning: that it was necessary for one man to die as a sacrifice so that the people would not perish.”
WAIT! There’s more …
Next we’ll dig into what Rabbi Cahn calls “The Second Shaking.”
Please continue to pray and journey with me as we approach October 2, 2016 — the final day of the biblical Jubilee, and Rosh Hashanna Eve, the eve before the Jewish new year 5777.
