God has said in His Word,
“In those days and at that time,
when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
I will gather all nations
and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.
There I will put them on trial
for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel,
because they scattered my people among the nations
and divided up my land.”
(Joel 3:1-2, NIV)
Excerpts from Eye To Eye: Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel by William Koenig …
U.S. Catastrophes and Events in 1991 -1992 under the Administration of George H. W. Bush concerning Israel:
OCTOBER 18,1991: Invitation issued by the U.S. (President George H.W. Bush) and the Soviet Union for a Middle East peace conference to be followed by “direct negotiations to achieve real peace.” The Madrid “land for peace” conference was to call on Israel to divide God’s covenant land in return for promises of peace and security.
OCTOBER 20, 1991(48 hours after the Madrid Conference announcement): THE OAKLAND FIRE was the worst fire involving loss of life and property since the Great San Francisco Earthquake and Fire of 1906. It began within 48 hours of the announcement. It involved an “unusual east wind” coupled with record high temperatures.
OCTOBER 30 – NOVEMBER 1, 1991: THE PERFECT STORM was described by meteorologists as one of the most powerful storms ever, with record-breaking ocean waves that measured over 100 feet high. It affected the entire East Coast from Maine to Florida, heavily damaging the Bush family home in Kennebunkport, Maine. This happened in conjunction with the dates of the Madrid conference!
“The connection between dividing the land of Israel and judgment on the nation causing it was made on the front page of America’s largest national newspaper” — USA Today.
AUGUST 24 – SEPTEMBER 3 1992: Round six of the bilateral peace talks took place in Washington D.C.
AUGUST 24, 1992: Three coinciding events (1) First Middle East peace talks on U.S. soil; (2) HURRICANE ANDREW, a phenomenal Category five storm smashed into southern Florida and became the worst natural disaster ever to hit America; (3) President George H.W. Bush’s ratings collapsed in the polls, far behind Bill Clinton in the U.S. presidential election. Just a year before — right before scheduling the Madrid conference, his approval rating had been at 92 percent. Bush lost the 1992 election to Bill Clinton, so he would no longer be active in the Middle East peace process that he initiated.
All that was just the beginning …
